Czech Open 2011 - summary
17th Czech Open 2011 ran like water. The following article contains a summary, acknowledgments, and other interesting reading about the weekend full of darts and an amazing experience.
This year's Czech Open was seventeenth and probably the best in its history. We got through cooperation with the agency IDMZ to many periodicals, in addition to excellent traditional Czech Television we presented the Czech Open on television Metropol. The participation of journalists and photographers were certainly above average in comparison with other major tournaments in Europe.
The participation exceeded expectations and we have a total number of registrations exceeded magical 500. Equally successful was the Czech Open for participation by top players and world-class stars. In both categories of men and women we were honored by visit of the world's number one and number two Scott Waites and Dean Winstanley respectively Deta Hedman and Irina Armstrong. Of course, other top players from world ranking top positions in both categories. CDO is honored that these world class players added Czech open into their calendar every year and count this among their favorite tournament in the busy schedule of tournaments.
According to information from the Czech Open, WDF ranked tournament in the ranking as the eighth largest in the world and the responses of participants in quality are still in a better position. We received assurances from the winner and one of the biggest stars Dean Winstanley, that he will fight for Czech Open to get ratings, which rightfully belongs to it and to all players who travel to Prague every year and exceedingly deserves better points. CDO cherish this activity by the player of that caliber.
Last but not least, we should thank those who support us and believe our work. Thank OREA Hotel Pyramida for cooperation, unfortunately only one shortage of this year was 10° beer, for which we apologize. Players appreciate that the tournament is played on the world's leading producer of quality boards Harrows, which gives us a Intrea company. Trophies from Czech glass from the Czech Crystal Lion became a tradition and are highly prized among players from all countries. In addition, CDO thanks TOI TOI Dixi support for the biggest stars, IDMZ agency for media and marketing support and cooperation for the company Jersey53 unique jerseys for the winners of the categories of individuals. Last but not least, thanks to the man who helped us to highlight the Czech Open to the level of top sporting events, it's Russ Bray, who is already among the regular guest, and his voice is associated with the tournament for many years and will do so again next year. The Voice has Czech open in the heart and very happy to return to Prague and know it very well in his home organization PDC, the first weekend in November gives his face, voice, art and professionalism to tournament in a small Czech Republic.
